Stay connected IV

I hope you had a lovely Mothers’ Day yesterday. (And yes, the placement of the apostrophe is deliberate) I hope, however your family celebrates Mother’s Day, that it was a good, fun and relaxing day for you. Maybe your family surprised you with something unexpected, maybe you stayed in bed, had coffe and read a book. Maybe you did some fun family activities or maybe you even got a little time just for yourself - the latter seem to have become the biggest luxury. I didn’t grow up celebrating Mother’s Day and the tradition has not been part of our family’s rituals. This doesn’t mean I don’t admire, honor and love women around the world, women in my family and right around me who are amazing role models, caregivers, breadwinners, nutureres, heroes and leaders, pioneers, soldiers and who take on all kinds of tasks and challenges. Mothers are amazing. I am lucky to have two. I am one, I’m surrounded by some of the most inspiring imaginable. I hope that the love and affection that came your way on Mother’s Day or that you extended to someone will not be just one day, but in some ways every day, everywhere where mothers need to be loved, respected and honored.
With motherly and daughterly love,

Louise
